No matter what type of work you do or what type of organization you work in, your skill for influencing people and persuading others to support your ideas is essential. The success of your proposal or project depends upon your ability to influence others to accept your ideas and work with you to accomplish your goals. This presentation will cover the basic ways to overcome obstacles and resistance and will share scientifically-based ways to communicate your ideas more effectively. We will talk about how to use relationship-based persuasion rather than coercion or authority to secure cooperation and agreement.
Persuading and influencing people requires effective communication skills, which is the foundation of all human interaction, personally and professionally. Every day, internally and externally and at every level, people are called upon to utilize their powers of persuasion and influence. The objective of this programme is to provide participants techniques to help maintain productive, positive and effective communication to persuade and influence people more effectively.
